Andy Schofield Sextet (GB/CZ/SK)
The Sextet brings together three exceptional saxophonists — Andy Schofield, Petr Kalfus, and Suzanne Higgins — whose musical chemistry has been forged through more than a decade of performing together as the core saxophone section of the Jazz Dock Orchestra. Backed by a heavyweight rhythm section, the band moves seamlessly between original compositions and contemporary jazz classics by composers such as Pat Metheny and Tom Harrell.
Expect powerful solos, deep rhythmic interplay, and tightly woven ensemble passages, all shaped by the band’s distinctive and intricate arrangements. A dynamic, sophisticated sound driven by three saxophones, a powerhouse rhythm section, and more than a decade of shared musical experience.
