Bizarre Band & guest Igor Orozovič

The Bizarre Band oscillates between chanson, jazz, swing and pop—so, simply calling it alternative folk would be an understatement. The songs are based on poems by Klára Suchanková, the musical arrangements are written sometimes by specific members of the band, and at other times by the whole ensemble. In addition to the band’s unusual instrumentation, the Bizarre Band captivates with its vocal performances, not only with the lead vocalists, but also with the supporting choirs. Their second, and latest, album Dokola ticho (2021) has less of a chanson zest to it and rather encompasses multiple genres, compared to their first album V krajině naměkko (2016). Colorfully, playfully and gloomily, songs from both albums will be heard at this special Jazz Dock concert, including some fresh ones, newly born in 2022.
