Concept Art Orchestra - The Prague Six

The opening night of a 4-concert cycle will introduce brand new pieces as well as long-time favorites by The Prague Six composers collective (Balcarova, Brunner, Jirucha, Kristan, Soukup, Sykora).

Under the direction of Stepanka Balcarova, the renowned players of the local scene perform melodic pieces spread across genres and influenced by Bob Brookmeyer or Maria Schneider. Last year, the CAO's last CD "The Prague Six" received the prestigious Andel music prize. Saxes: David Fárek, Petr Kalfus, Marcel Bárta, Luboš Soukup, Robert Mitrega, Trumpets: Dominic Pessl, Petr Beránek, Oskar Török, Jan Přibil. Trombones: Jan Jirucha, Štěpán Janoušek, Richard Šanda, Johannes Oppel. Rhythm section: Vít Křišťan, Petr Dvorský, Jiří Slavíček.
