Concept Art Orchestra meets Graz Composers Orchestra ft. Ed Partyka
The Concept Art Orchestra is a 16-piece Czech jazz big band focused on presenting new works of contemporary Czech composers. Under the direction of Štěpánka Balcarová, the renowned players of the local scene perform melodic pieces spread across genres and influenced by Bob Brookmeyer or Maria Schneider. The CAO's latest CD The Prague Six received the prestigious Anděl Music Prize.
This particular concert is a result of a joint project with the Graz Composers Orchestra, whose members will join the lines of CAO. The evening will present the best of current repertoire of both ensembles under the direction of american guest conductor Edward Partyka.
