Jazz On The Roof

As is tradition, we bring you our summer concert series titled Jazz On The Roof. From May to September, a small chamber ensemble will perform every Saturday afternoon on the roof of Jazz Dock, offering you the peaceful summer atmosphere of acoustic jazz.

Cyrille Oswald began his professional music career in the early 1990s while living in the Caribbean. After returning to his native Netherlands, he studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague under the guidance of John Ruocco. Since then, he has recorded and performed both in the Netherlands and internationally with ensembles such as the Cubop City Big Band, Nueva Manteca, Rumbata, and others. Since 2008, Cyrille Oswald has been based primarily in Prague. After teaching at jazz workshops organized by the Czech Jazz Society, he soon formed his own quartet with David Dorůžka, Tomáš Liška, and Daniel Šoltis. In this lineup, he recorded his fourth album The Wrong Present—entirely composed by him—for Animal Music in 2010. The music of this ensemble could be described as postmodern jazz, drawing on a wide range of influences including world music, alternative music, and contemporary classical music.

Admission: Seated – 250 CZK in advance, 300 CZK at the door. Standing (deck chair seating) – 200 CZK in advance, 250 CZK at the door.It is not possible to reserve specific seats for the concert. Club discounts do not apply to this concert. Thank you for your understanding.

In case of bad weather, the concert will take place inside the club.
