Dorota Barová Trio
Dorota Barova is a well known and respected Czech singer and cello player with a distinctive voice and sound singing mainly in Polish. She released her first solo album Iluzja (Illusion, 2018) which received Czech Music Academy Award Anděl and also Jantar Award. Dorota recorded it with two outstanding Czech musicians - the guitarist Miroslav Chyška (Illustratosphere, JAR, Die El.Eleffant!) and the bassist Miloš Klápště (Marz, Tryptych, Aneta Langerová etc.). All of Dorota´s lyrics are in Polish, and they are mostly her own original compositions and lyrics. In 2021 she released her second CD called Dotyk. The latest album called Píseň pro Mi (2025) which is mainly in Czech was nominated for Czech music award Anděl 2025 in the categories Jazz and Folk. Dorota is or used to be a member of numerous bands: Tara Fuki, Vertigo Quintet, Aneta Langerová Band, Lenka Dusilová, Beata Hlavenková and many others.
