EUROPE BLUES TRAIN FESTIVAL

Saturday 23/09/2017 from 20:00

8 pm – Charlie Slavík and The Rhythm Girls (blues)

Charlie Slavík, the most respected harmonica player in the Czech Republic, is the only Czechoslovakian to ever participate in the prestigious international blues competition IBC in Memphis in 2013, where he made it all the way up to the semi-finals. His ability to use the instrument across genres illustrates his virtuosity and his ability to play with anyone or as a soloist. The Rhythm Girls - Tereza Nálevková, Radka Říhová, and Karolína Stasiaková - are three charming singers steeped in swing rhythm, accompanied by Czech guitar virtuoso Kuba Červinka.

10 pm – T's Independent Boogie Co (D) (blues)

The name signifies nothing but Trotter's soft spot for the Blues. After spending more than two decades in the UK and Australia honing an illustrious career in various musical genres with all sorts of different artists, a few years ago he returned to his homeland. And the Blues just won't leave him alone: "Once you've caught the bug, you've had it," he says with a smile. "And that's exactly why we started ‘The Independents.’” More like a congregation of individual musicians than a steady band, they sporadically meet to celebrate their passion for the Blues. Julius Seelig – voc; Benny Krise – g; Marc Witte – keys; Markus Kunz – harps; Roger Radatz – dr; Trott – b.

Whole evening admission: seating CZK 400, standing CZK 270.
