If you're looking for a raw fusion of traditional Chicago blues, fierce rock 'n' roll, and authentic vintage soul, you can't miss GA-20. On September 30, 2026, Jazz Dock will experience a return to its roots with this Boston trio. "We make records that we ourselves would like to listen to," says Matt Stubbs, the band's founder. In a lineup lacking a bass, Cody Nilsen and Josh Kiggans will perform alongside Stubbs. This unique formation draws on the legacy of legends such as Otis Rush, Howlin' Wolf, and J.B. Lenoir. The lineup is directly inspired by Hound Dog Taylor's band, to whom they paid tribute with the album Try It...You Might Like It! Although GA-20 uses vintage instruments, their energy is fierce and thoroughly contemporary. Instead of modern tricks, they rely on traditional recording techniques and a raw, "dirty" sound.
