GROOVE DOCK – JAZZ TO DANCE!

The June edition of Groove Dock will be marked by Latin music, dance jazz and funk. Sharing the stage will be our resident Mr. Ultrafino, as well as the unrivalled matador of the Czech-Moravian music scene, DJ Baltazar, and percussionist-dancer Papis Nyass.

Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of the Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experience. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz, but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.

DJ Baltazar (Maradona Jazz) – longtime staple of both the Czech and Moravian music scenes and proud owner of one of the most versatile vinyl collections in Central Europe, his undying love for Latin-American music and all things groovy materialized in his legendary party series “Original Moody,” as well as the explosive live performances of the Maradona Jazz ensemble.

Papis Nyass – drummer, percussionist, dancer and multi-talented musician from Gambia, Papis Nyass specializes in African percussions — conga, bonga, djembe, sabar, marimba — and has been a regular co-player with such names as Lenka Dusilová, Ephraim Goldin or Alan Vitouš.

GROOVE DOCK: Every second Saturday each month.
