Groove Dock - Jazz To Dance!
The March edition of the Groove Dock will be marked by Latin music, dance jazz and funk. Sharing the stage will be our resident Mr. Ultrafino, as well as the unrivalled matador of the Czech-Moravian music scene, DJ Baltazar, and percussionist-dancer Papis Nyass.
Mr. Ultrafino – Groove Dock resident, co-creator of Prague jazz/funk DJ scene, strictly vinyl player with more than two decades of musical experiences. His sets are built mainly on 60's and 70's funk, soul and jazz but they might be just as well spiced up with disco, hiphop, latin, reggae and rare obscurities from pretty much any musical genre.
DJ Baltazar (Maradona Jazz) – long time staple of both Czech and Moravian music scene, and a proud owner of one of the most versatile vinyl collection of all local DJs. His undying love for Latin-American music and all things groovy materialized in his legendary party series Original Moody and also in the explosive live performances of Maradona Jazz ensemble.
Papis Nyass – drummer, percussionist, dancer and multi-tallented musician born in Gambia. He specializes in African percussions such as conga, bonga, djembe, sabar or marimba and has been a regular co-player with such names as Lenka Dusilová, Ephraim Goldin or Alan Vitouš.
Admission for sitting 400 CZK, for standing 250 CZK. It is no longer necessary to reserve a seat when purchasing a seated ticket. To reserve a specific seat, please write your request in the note when purchasing the ticket. Fulfillment of the request cannot be guaranteed.
