Our entire team at the Jazz Dock has been watching with great horror the barbaric war started by the dictator Vladimir Putin in Ukraine. We do not agree with such atrocities committed on the territory of a sovereign and peaceful state and we support the brave Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom. We don't have many options to fight this evil other than what we do best: jazz concerts.
We have, therefore, decided to hold a charity music evening in support of Ukraine. A large number of musicians have offered to play in this "jazz marathon" for free, so we can offer you a representative show of our jazz scene. We will see representatives of the older, middle and young jazz generations all together in one evening on one stage. We’re taking the evening technically and organizationally simple. The stage will feature a drum kit, piano, double bass and several microphones for wind instruments and vocals—and the musicians will simply take turns with the instruments after every three or four songs. The individual sets will even intersect from time to time, which is why you can also expect many interesting and unexpected musical situations, moments when it will really sparkle! It will be played and jammed until midnight (or longer), and in this way we will all express our support for the Ukrainian people in the spirit of our motto: “JAZZ AGAINST THE WAR!” So, come be a part of this extraordinary event and show your support by purchasing a ticket: 100% of the entrance fee will be sent to the account of People in Need, offering financial humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Taras Volos Solo, Jamie Marshal, Petra Ernyei Trio, Vertigo, minus123minut, Muff, Janoušek - Wroblewski Quartet, Los Quemados, Ondrej Ruml, Jan Koubkova Quartet, Emil Viklicky Trio, Jan Koubkova Quartet, Milan Svoboda Quartet, Jakub Zomer Trio and others will perform.
Admission: seating CZK 700, standing CZK 350. There is no need to reserve a seat when purchasing a seating ticket. No club discounts. Thank you for understanding.
