JAZZBIT (Mladí ladí jazz)
Charlie Slavík Revue, The Beautifuls

Wednesday 28/02/2018 od 20:00

Another evening with Jazzbit concert series will this time feature an unleashed blues and wild rock'n'roll shade. The first band represents a genuine sound of the 50's halfway between Chicago/Jump Blues and roc'n'roll – Charlie Slavík Revue! The other band will offer their take on late rock'n'roll and its rockabilly-ish sound – The Beautifuls!

Charlie Slavík Revue

Get ready for some fresh blues music! Charlie Slavík is the most acclaimed harmonica player in Czech Republic. As the only Czech in history he's made it into semifinale of the prestigious Blues contest IBC in Memphis, USA. Charlie Slavík Revue is his way of introducing their take on Blues to European audience - it's full of uncompromising pulses of untamed energy with touches of soul, swing and doo-wop. The band featues an all-star line-up of the finest young Czech musicians:

Charlie Slavík – harmonica, voc; Tomáš Vokurka – drums; Jiří Maršíček – guitar, voc; Adam Nohavica – bass.

The Beautifuls

Fasionable looks with sharp claws - that's The Beautifuls in a nutshell. This four piece with a furious panda for their mascot has successfully found its place among experienced bands of the genre. The Beautifuls are mostly rockabilly and roc'n'roll but can't deny some punk and psychobilly influence here and there. Their passionate and black and white show has been undeniably gaining its fans regardless of their age. They're indeed an unforgettable sight to see, come and see for yourself. Their growing repertoir of original tracks is sometimes accompanied by nostalgic cover versions.

Jaromír Barhoň – voc;Tomáš Nýdr – drums; Kevin Peterka – guitar, harmonica; David Bareš – double bass.
