Jan Kavka Trio

Acoustic piano trio, which began its career in 2013 as an occassional band playing jazz standards. Later they extended their repertoir by adding author's compositions and pop song arrangements. The very first album „Past Stories" by Jan Kavka Trio was released in 2018 and it won 2nd place in the survey Česká Jazzová sklizeň in 2018 made by Český rozhlas Jazz.

Mike Parker’s Meta

Mike Parker's 'Meta' is a new quartet project by the native New York bassist and composer.  While his previous projects have never included piano or guitar, 'Meta' features pianist Mateusz Palka to add new colors to Parker's compositions.  Parker's music has been described by critics as 'an ingenious synthesis of all musical genres' and his compositions draw on such wide-ranging influences as Charles Mingus, Radiohead, Maurice Ravel, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane, and David Bowie. While the quartet project is relatively new, Parker's long history of collaborations with each member leads to a uniquely cohesive unit.
