About the Khamoro Festival

The Khamoro Festival (meaning “sunshine” in Romani) is the world’s largest professional Roma festival. Since 1999, it has been held in Prague, organized by Slovo 21 and Studio Production Saga. Over the years, more than 260 bands from 33 countries have performed at the festival – including world-famous supergroups like Mahala Rai Banda, Kočani Orkestar, and Parno Graszt. In addition to concerts featuring Roma bands from around the world, Khamoro also offers exhibitions, a children's day, oral histories, film screenings, dance workshops, and expert conferences. Every year, the festival attracts around 10,000 visitors from the Czech Republic and abroad. The main goal of Khamoro is to connect the Roma minority and the majority society through art. Since its beginning, the festival has received support from prominent figures, including Václav Havel. Khamoro holds the prestigious EFFE Label – a European quality mark for festivals.

Gypsy Jazz Concerts

This globally respected musical genre reflects emotion, the moment’s mood, and the musician’s whole life. Milan Angelo Trio

Captivating guitar melodies, a passion for music, and immense talent that amazes audiences around the world – that’s Milan “Angelo” Novák! Although he’s only 18, he has already performed alongside music legends. He’s shared the stage with world-renowned guitarist Fapy Lafertin and the phenomenal violinist Roby Lakatos. Music has run through Milan’s veins since childhood. He comes from a respected family of musicians and started playing guitar at just five years old. The promising guitarist is currently studying at the Prague Conservatory, yet his name is already making waves internationally. He has performed not only in the Czech Republic but also in Poland, Austria, and even as far away as Taiwan. Milan is living proof that great music knows no boundaries. Come experience his talent for yourself!
