The members of the ensemble come from a legendary musical dynasty, whose most famous member was the founder of gypsy swing, Django Reinhardt. His musical spirit can be heard in every note they play. Not as a distant legend, but as a living force. The Reinhardt Sinti Jazz Ensemble combines tradition with the energy of the present, serving up gypsy jazz, Latin swing, bossa nova, and traditional Sinti music. All this in a performance that is technically brilliant and yet full of emotion. The leader of the ensemble, guitarist Taylor Reinhardt, comes from a direct line of Reinhardts and has collaborated with stars such as Stochelo Rosenberg, Biréli Lagrène, and Jimmy Rosenberg. Django Reinhardt's family heritage is not just a symbol for this formation. It is a commitment. A commitment to offer the best of a style that has fundamentally influenced European jazz.
