Longital
A mainstay of the Czech–Slovak alternative scene, the playful and constantly experimenting Longital are coming to present their fourteenth studio album Krajina beží dolu vlastným brehom (Slnko Records). The new release offers an intimate yet experimental sonic journey – from acoustic instruments through electronic layers to a distinctive voice. The lyrics open space for inner questions of being, joy, and transience, and the album is an invitation to slow down, listen without distraction, and return to what truly matters.
For 25 years, Longital have been known for their original fusion of poetic lyrics, Shina’s charismatic vocals, bowed bass lines, and the unmistakable guitar sound of Dan Salontay. The duo have performed on stages around the world, from Europe to the USA and Canada, including SXSW in Austin, and have toured with Ireland’s The Frames as well as the Oscar-winning project The Swell Season by Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová.
