Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, the 26 years old singer and songwriter Luiza Meiodavila combines Afro-Brazilian rhythms and jazz melodies with elements from pop and rock. Based in Berlin, Germany since 2017, Luiza released her second album (des)conexão, addressing the modern concept of the word "connection". The title translates as (dis)connection, playing with the irony of the word, often used in nowadays technology to give us the impression of being deeply aware, conscious and informed - but having the opposite effect, according to the singer’s perspective.The power trio formed by Zé Victor Torelli (guitar; Brazil), Carmelo Leotta (bass; Italy) and Yannick Ballmann (drums; Belgium) carries the essence of world music not only through their background, but also their musicality – delivering a concert that contradicts genre boundaries.
