The Maraca Group, established in 2000 in the Czech Republic, are classically educated musicians who devote themselves wholeheartedly to their art. They compose music for theater performances, films and special projects, taking inspiration from all over the world where they travel for music. Most members are also engaged in pedagogical work. Singer Gabriel Vermelho works as an independent actress and has been awarded several awards for her acting. Their work is inspired by the poems of the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa and, thanks to the film Lisbon Story, by Wim Wenders.
