Marek Hlavica & The Seladons
The launch of CD Výročí (Indies Records) brings the band Marek & THE SELADONS to Jazz Dock for the first time. The Seladons play a stylish mix of jazz, blues, folk, and modern chanson. They invite listeners to an attentive listening experience and lively interaction between the frontman and the audience. The original songs, somewhere between anecdote and raw poetry, clearly reflect the author's stylistic background. Marek Hlavica is known as the singer of the final lineup of Andršt's Blues Band and as a creator of former funk rock band Žáha. Jakub Doležal is a top jazz instrumentalist (saxophone, keyboards), known for his work with Ondřej Pivec's Organic Quartet, among others. A generation younger, Jiří Chmela adds a modern guitar sound to the band's vibe. Eva Holická is a bassist exploring various styles, from world music to mainstream songcraft. At the concert, the quartet will be joined by legendary drummer Pavel Razím, just like on the recording.
