Wednesday 05/10/2022 from 19:00

The collaboration between the two musicians builds on previous projects set in the field between contemporary jazz and classical music, traditional instruments and live electronics. First it was the Points-Rataj Quintet (CD 2016), which evolved into an electro-acoustic trio with saxophonist Luboš Soukup (Hornscape, 2020). The new duo of Michal Rataj and Oskar Török attempts to establish an even deeper interaction between the virtuoso wind instrument and a wide range of contemporary interactive electronics. Their musical vocabulary extends from electronic ambient through the overtones of club electronica towards the various positions of contemporary jazz and post-acousmatic music. Michal Rataj - composer, sound performer and radio producer, who composes mainly electroacoustic music and instrumental music for chamber groups or orchestra. Recently he has become known for a large number of soundtracks for TV and cinema. He is regularly introduced by major performers, ensembles and orchestras and he gives performances in Europe and in the USA.
