Nika
Nika is considered one of the most distinctive young voices on the contemporary Czech music scene. In her work, she blends jazz, pop, folk, and alternative influences into a raw and emotionally charged sound built on powerful lyrics and a unique atmosphere. Following the release of her debut album "Flesh & Soul" (2022), which received the Jantar Award and brought success in the JazzFruit competition, she performed at festivals such as Colours of Ostrava, Smetanova Litomyšl, and Prague Sounds, as well as at venues in France and Germany.
Her second album, "Elsewhere" (2025), shortlisted for the Anděl Awards and honored with another Jantar Award, showcases a mature songwriting approach alongside bold musical experimentation. In her songs, NIKA explores themes of alienation, manipulation, self-worth, and reconciliation after inner turmoil. Her music moves between melancholy and urgency, creating an intense personal statement that resonates with the uncertainty of today’s world. On stage, she is accompanied by drummer Jonáš Bjolek, pianist Pavel Duda, and bassist Nicolas Gatto.
