Ondřej Pivec Greatest Hits 4000
Ondřej Pivec is a successful Czech organist, keyboardist, producer and composer living in New York for over ten years. He is usually touring with the great American singer Gregory Porter, with whom he also won the highest musical honor: the Grammy Award. Ondřej established himself on the New York scene, but the covid crisis unexpectedly brought him an extended stay in his native country. So he decided to create a completely new project based on his ten years of experience in the United States—leading a choir in Harlem churches, R&B, pop, funk and soul. For the Greatest Hits 4000 project, he joined with songwriter, producer and musician Jan Steinsdörfer, the excellent bass guitarist Jan Jakubec and the energetic, gospel-inspired drummer Filip Ernst. This is how a unique and passionate project was created at the interface of jazz, funk, gospel, hip-hop and soul. Their music builds on the legacy of 20th-century American music, but at the same time reflects the sound of today.
