Ondřej Ruml & Matěj Benko Trio Exclusive Tour

All members of the project are prominent figures on the contemporary music scene. They are active musicians who naturally move across genres — from jazz and pop to original, author-driven music. Despite this stylistic diversity, they are united by one essential element: a deep and long-standing love for jazz, which serves as a common language and a return to their roots.

“We decided to try to go back to where we came from — to the jazz club — and play the songs that influenced us most on our musical journey,” says Ondřej Ruml. This idea lies at the very core of the project: a personal and sincere return to the music that shaped their musical taste and their approach to interpretation. The repertoire therefore includes not only pieces that have become part of their personal history, but also songs created directly through the collaboration between Ondřej Ruml and pianist and composer Matěj Benko, whose sensitivity to harmony and arranging has a crucial impact on the project’s overall sound.

This collaboration has already captured the attention of both critics and audiences in the past, particularly through original and fresh arrangements of songs by Jaroslav Ježek, Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich. The partnership between Ruml and Benko continues to evolve, building on Ondřej Ruml’s exceptional vocal performance — his musicality, sense of vocal color and expressive depth — as well as on the equally outstanding instrumental performances of all the musicians involved. The result is an intimate yet powerful musical statement that resonates with jazz audiences while also appealing to listeners open to high-quality, authentic music beyond genre boundaries.

Admission: Advance tickets: 800 CZK for seated tickets, 400 CZK for standing tickets. Tickets purchased on the day of the concert: 900 CZK for seated tickets, 450 CZK for standing tickets.
