album release concert

Sunday 08/11/2026 from 20:00

As part of its European tour, Otto Hejnic Trio presents a brand-new program of original compositions. Energetic modern jazz, a distinctive compositional voice, and spontaneous improvisation performed by three exceptional musicians.

Otto Hejnic is one of the leading Czech jazz drummers and composers. He has released nine albums as a bandleader and has performed at major jazz festivals and clubs throughout Europe, the United States, Mexico, and Asia. His previous album was recorded in New York with legendary guitarist Peter Bernstein and Hammond organist Brian Charette. His latest vinyl release, Collector, once again features Brian Charette alongside acclaimed Welsh saxophonist Osian Roberts.

Alan Bartuš is regarded as one of the most outstanding young European jazz pianists of his generation. He graduated from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York and was a semifinalist in the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition. He has released two albums of original music and has collaborated with artists including Jerry Bergonzi, Jeff "Tain" Watts and Bob Hurst. He has also performed at Lincoln Center, while legendary drummer Gregory Hutchinson appears as a guest on his second album.

Jason Clotter is one of the most exciting young bassists on the New York jazz scene. A member of Kenny Garrett's band, he has also performed with Samara Joy, Jazzmeia Horn, Ravi Coltrane, Marquis Hill, Wallace Roney and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. He studied with legendary bassists Ron Carter and Nat Reeves.

The evening will culminate with the official launch of Otto Hejnic Trio's brand-new vinyl album. This will be the audience's first opportunity to hear the trio's new original repertoire performed by this international lineup.
