Paper Moon Trio is a female swing vocal-instrumental group that began forming in 2013 and has been active since 2014. The trio – Kristína Uhlíková (violin, vocals), Barbora Medeková (ukulele, vocals), and Andrea Kružliaková (guitar, vocals) – first met in 2009 while performing with the Bratislava Hot Serenaders orchestra. There, they mastered the “close harmony” vocal style, which became the hallmark of their authentic renditions of songs from the 1920s to 1950s. They arrange all their music themselves, drawing inspiration from original recordings and vocal groups like The Boswell Sisters, The Mills Brothers, as well as Czechoslovak trios such as Včielky and the Allan Sisters. Highlights of their career include performances at the Golden Age Festival and Bratislava Jazz Days, and winning the Jazz START UP competition in 2016. They have released two albums: Teba vrúcne milujem (2018) and Jazz keď znie (2024), the latter celebrating their 10th anniversary and the legacy of Slovak and Czech vocal trios.
Admission: Seated – 250 CZK in advance, 300 CZK at the door. Standing (deck chair seating) – 200 CZK in advance, 250 CZK at the door. It is not possible to reserve specific seats for the concert. Club discounts do not apply to this concert. Thank you for your understanding.
