Piotr Wyleżoł has been leading the Trio since the beginning of his musical career, for over 20 years, with the same extraordinary musicians: Łukasz Żyta (drums) and Michał Barański (double bass). Currently one of the most recognizable bands on the Polish jazz scene, among the many albums authored by Piotr Wyleżoł, three were recorded in the trio, and the latest, Children's Episodes, was released by the renowned Spanish label Fresh Sound in the New Talent series, in which you can find names such as Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Chris Cheek. It is worth mentioning that Piotr Wyleżoł is the first Pole to join this honorable group. The album was nominated for the Fryderyk Award in the category Best Jazz Album of the Year. However, already after the debut album, Yearning, recorded while Wyleżoł was still studying at the Jazz Department of the Music Academy in Katowice, critics spared no warm words: "This is one of the most interesting debut albums. The trio of young Polish musicians has built a mood worthy of the greatest achievements in its genre" – Jazz Forum.
