Pragasón (CU/CZ)

Founded in Prague in 2000, from the beginning focused on an authentic presentation of traditional Cuban music in the Czech Republic. The concerts are often enriched with Cuban dance shows and mini-classes of basic moves with the aim of making the audience participate actively in the concert. The music will take you back to the Cuba of the mid-20th century, when the rhythms like the son cubano, chachachá and mambo were taking form. The era of glittering ballrooms and cabarets, outstanding big bands and glamorous singers—a time of elegance and contentment toasted with mojitos and daiquiris. The founder and front man of the band is Cuban singer, dancer and tap dancer Jorge Concepcion.
