Steven’s
The Karlovy Vary-based blues-rock band Steven’s recently released their second studio album "90’s Kid". The album blends raw blues-rock foundations with touches of Britpop and country and was created in collaboration with guitarist and producer Miroslav Chyška; it was also released on vinyl.
Steven’s ranks among the most striking young bands on the Czech scene and is widely regarded as one of the biggest hopes of domestic blues rock—an impression backed by their awards and growing media attention. The group, hailing from Karlovy Vary, broke through by winning Blues Aperitiv 2022, went on to take first place at the Czech Blues Challenge 2024, and in 2025 represented the Czech Republic at the European Blues Challenge. In recent years they have shared stages with artists such as Walter Trout and Tommy Castro. The Jazz Dock set will feature a cross-section of 90’s Kid alongside favorites from the debut Runnin’ Man, plus several original arrangements of covers.
For the Prague concert, the band will expand its lineup with a horn section to faithfully bring the studio sound of the new record into a club setting. Stylistically, Steven’s fuse blues, rock, and traditional R&B with an emphasis on songcraft, guitar riffs, and the distinctive vocal of frontman Štěpán Kordík; additional vocals, percussion, and occasional brass complete the sound. The discography includes the debut Runnin’ Man (2022), live recordings, and the current 90’s Kid (2025).
