The Swamp Shakers play around 140 gigs a year, giving 100%-plus every time and driving audiences wild! The band is united by enthusiastic and talented musicians with a desire to play artistically high-quality music that they like, doling out heaps of pleasure to themselves and their listeners in equal parts. The band features its own distinctive musical and dramatic style that is snugly tucked in between classical and modern rockabilly, but has also influences of jump’n’jive, swing, rock’n’roll, rhythm’n’blues, country, jazz and blues. “We play lots of our original songs as well as fresh arrangements of classic 50’s rockabilly, rock’n’roll, country and rhythm’n’blues, giving out all our energy and emotions that go to a performance straight from our hearts!” The Swamp Shakers are: Cruisin’ Mr. Splash (Karlis), lead singer of the band, and the rare drummer who plays a cocktail drum set standing up; Hurricane Annie (Anna), the cherry on the cake, vocalist extraordinaire and upright bass player; Magic Marc (Marcis), vocalist, deeply devoted to guitar picking and a true virtuoso at 23, admired by experienced and famous guitarists! Formed as a trio in Latvia in 2015, in just 3 years The Swamp Shakers have become a highly sought-after band at festivals all over Europe. They’ve performed at Good Rockin’ Tonight in France, Rock at Sea in Sweden, Honky Tonk in Switzerland, Nidaros Blues in Norway, The Breda Jazz Festival in Holland, The Taurage Jazz Festival in Lithuania, The Polish Boogie Festival in Poland, Rockabilly Rumble in the Czech Republic, Pick-up Drive Romhany in Hungary—and the list goes on and on! In 2019, the concerts in Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Poland have already sold out well in advance! The Swamp Shakers debut album as a trio, Don’t Wanna Miss, will be released in Spring 2019 and presented on tour!
