Tomáš Sýkora Trio & Aid Kid – New CD Release

The inclusion of a synthesizer to expand new sound possibilities, venturing beyond acoustic piano, captivating groovy rhythmic sections, improvisational space, colorful individual compositions, elaborate musical structure and an innovative use of live electronics—these are the main features of pianist Tomáš Sýkora's new band. The chamber format of the classic jazz piano trio was replaced by a new concept extended by an electronic music component. Tomáš Sýkora invited a prominent artist from this area, Ondřej Mikula, aka Aid Kid, to cooperate with him, so that with his innovative approach to electronic music, he would supplement the current composition (Tomáš Liška –⁠ bass guitar, Roman Vícha –⁠ drums), combining the musical expression and technique into one sound unit. Together they create a fusion of jazz and modern electronic music and connect everything into a dynamic and sonically captivating concert form.

As part of the concert, the debut album of the whole project called Alchemy, which was recorded in the Sono Records studio and released by the prestigious Animal Music label, will be christened.
