Women’s Vocal Night 2027

Jazz Dock will once again be home to the Night of Singers festival, bringing together women’s voices across genres and generations. Its fifth edition is the first to be international. Over two evenings at Jazz Dock, six distinctive figures from the Czech music scene will share the same stage: Marie April (Discovery of the Year – Anděl Award 2026), Zuzana Dumková, Iva Marešová, the Ježek Sisters, Barbora Šampalíková, and Karolína Krajníková. Their music ranges from jazz and swing to chanson, soul and R&B, as well as folk and world music.

Each singer’s songs will be performed in new arrangements created especially for the festival band, made up of top musicians. On Friday afternoon, Mirka Novak will lead a singing workshop open to the public at Jazz Dock. In collaboration with the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund, we will also welcome talented young singers from primary arts schools to the stage, giving them the chance to perform alongside experienced professionals. The festival was founded by singer Petra Ernyeiová as a space where women singers meet as colleagues, not competitors. Over the years, Night of Singers has featured many remarkable voices, including Jana Koubková, Markéta Foukalová, Ridina Ahmedová, Gabriela Vermelho, Yvonne Sanchez, Júlia Kozáková, Naďa Válová, NIKA, Marta Töpferová, Martina Trchová, and Anna Kubalová. The festival will culminate in a gala concert on Sunday, 25 April, at the Velkopřevorský Palace, featuring international stars Cyrille Aimée (FR/DO), a Grammy nominee, and Mor Karbasi (IL).

Band: Ondřej Kabrna – piano; Adam Tvrdý – guitar; Petr Dvorský – bass; Daniel Šoltis – drums.
