Zangbeto
The name "Zangbeto" originates from a traditional mask society in southern Benin, whose mission is to protect the town and its people by driving away malevolent spirits during the night. Founded in 2021 by three young Togolese musicians – Joachim Amouzou, Honoré Dafo, and Henoch Fafadji – the group seamlessly blends contemporary jazz with the rhythms and melodies of West Africa. Together with French trumpeter Félicien Bouchot and guitarist Romain Baret, they offer a captivating musical journey that transcends cultural boundaries.
