Kristina Barta Event Horizon

Kristina Barta, internationally renowned composer and pianist, won 1st place in the composer's jazz competition in the Czech Republic in 2016. Her trio (Jan Feco – bass, Marek Urbanek – drums) got into the finals of the 2016 Euro-radio Jazz Competition in the Netherlands. Kristina is also winner of the 2017 Powiew Mlodegu Jazzu in Poland, where she received a prize for her piano playing. The project Event Horizon is an original trio, enriched with guitar and saxophone, playing original contemporary creative jazz, reflecting on Kristina's earlier classical music studies with an emphasis on melodies, modern rhythms and electronic elements. The new album Kristina Barta Event Horizon will be released in September 2020 in Austria (on Alessa Records).
