Otto Hejnic Trio – New CD release

Otto Hejnic Trio – New CD release

Tuesday 03/12/2019 from 22:00

This fantastic piano trio, whose leader is a drummer, has been reaping successes worldwide for 10 years. And it is these 10 years that the trio will celebrate with a concert in Jazzdock. The piano is played by Slovak virtuoso Ondrej Krajňák, who, as a sideman, has recorded a number of albums, but he is known for his cooperation with Ida Kellarová. Among other things, he released a great solo album years ago. Double bassist Josef Fečo is a true leader in his field. It is a virtuoso of double bass and electric bass. He has performed with many world players, such as Benny Golson. And the last article of the trio is great drummer Otto Hejnic, who not only is the author of many songs, but above all perfectly links individuality and ferocity of individual players. Fečo and Hejnic form a really solid rhythm. 4 great albums and concerts around the world speak for themselves, such as last month's tour in Poland or at the famous Paris club Duc Des Lombardes. The trio perfectly captures Jazzport and Jan Hocek: ... "Hejnic's trio plays superb, thoroughbred jazz, and yet the listener can even whistle, how catchy, and at the same time wonder what the musicians with the motive do for miracles! Album Lights are closed by the gorgeous composition "Spirit Of the Mountain", initially evoking its colorful mood by Musorgsky's Pictures from the Show, then breaking, exploding the double bass, and then the piano will begin to conjure up a quasi-folklore theme…

Ondrej Krajňák – p; Josef Fečo – db; Otto Hejnic – dr.
