JAZZ ON5

Founder of the famous trio Medeski, Martin & Wood, daughter of legendary bluesman Taj Mahal, gangster orchestra from Arizona, or electronic mage in an exclusive live show - this is just a sample of the biggest stars of the Jazz ON5 festival. The ninth year of the music parade took place from 10th to 15th November.

Stylishly, Jazz On5 was a colorful mosaic in which each viewer found his piece of music. He heard modern jazz, vocal soul music, electronic music combined with neofunk grooves, earthy music in modern New Orleans style, wild Mexican dance rhythms and rockabilly. Also, a workshop on jazz improvisation took place, where students, children and adults interested in this music could learn more about "how jazz is doing".

Among the main stars was the JOHN MEDESKI'S MAD SKILLET project, which is the founder of the famous trio Medeski, Martin & Wood. The audience has seen energetic New Orleans with the influences of jazz, blues, psychedelic rock and R'n'B. A completely different genre was offered by Arizona MENDOZA, whose music is a mix of indie rock and Latin American music and occasionally recalls a soundtrack from gangster films. The frantic pace came from the sold out band KNOWER, which mixes in its music elements of electronic dance music, jazz, pop, soul and fusion. The Japanese keyboardist BIGYUKI - a progressive musician based in New York who combines jazz, electronics, hip-hop, soul, rock and classical music - was not left behind. Deva MAVAL, the daughter of the legendary American blues musician Taj Mahal, was introduced to the quieter waters.
